New Acer Aspire One Netbooks!

Aces Aspire One is Acer’s line of netbooks designed to accommodate various market segments. If you are looking to buy a netbook, you may want to look into the new Acer Aspire One netbooks before finalizing your purchase decision. They are officially available and will certainly grab your attention right away.

The first new Acer Aspire One is the Acer Aspire One AO721, featuring AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor and integrated ATI Radeon HD 4225 with 384MB dedicated memory. The netbook is certainly more than just capable in completing various moderate to heavy tasks, especially because it also uses 2GB DDR3 RAM.

The Acer Aspire One AO521 also uses AMD Athlon II Neo K125 processor and the same built-in GPU used by Aspire One AO721, but it only has 1GB DDR3 RAM built-in. Not only that, the screen size of Acer Aspire One AO521 is only 10.1” compared to AO721’s 11.6” display. If Acer Aspire One AO721 uses Windows 7 Home Premium, the Acer Aspire One AO521 is equipped with Windows 7 Started Edition.

Acer hasn’t forgotten about Intel’s Atom platform, and they are releasing two new models in the category. The first one is Aspire One AO533 featuring Intel Atom N475 and 1GB DDR3 RAM. We also have the budget-friendly Aspire One AOD260 with Intel Atom N450 processor and also a 1GB DDR3 memory module. Both Intel-based netbooks are equipped with 10.1” WSVGA screen, although the Aspire One AO533’s 6-cell battery is twice as large as AOD260’s 3-cell battery.

Toshiba A100 on Android

There are a lot of netbooks on the market, featuring superb battery life and good performance in general. Most of them are using Windows 7 or custom-built Linux as the primary operating system, but the new Android operating system by Google is getting more and more attention from netbook manufacturers. Toshiba is among those manufacturers interested in Android, and the company will release an Android-based Toshiba A100 to the market soon.

With the official name Toshiba AC100, the new Toshiba netbook will carry Android 2.1 operating system and a 10.1” screen of amazing quality. Pair the operating system with high performance hardware and you will have one perfect portable device for sure. Seen from every angle, the Toshiba A100 looks very promising indeed.

An NVIDIA Tegra 250 processor operating at 1GHz, the Toshiba A100 is capable of completing a lot of complex tasks without hassle. The processor is further supported by advanced GPU module to enable high definition video playbacks and other interesting capabilities. The preinstalled 512MB RAM may not look much, but it is certainly more than enough for the device since it is running Android operating system; you can choose to upgrade the internal memory to up to 4GB when needed.

What’s interesting about the Toshiba A100 is the 32GB SSD storage. Most netbooks are switching to hard disks to reduce costs, but Toshiba decides to stick to SSD storage to enhance overall performance. 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi module, 3 USB 2.0 ports, and HDMI port are the provided connectivity features on this device.
